Day 1. It all starts with God

It all starts with God

It's not about you.
The purpose of your life is far greater
than your own personal fulfilment,
your peace of mind,
or even your happiness.
It's far greater than your family,
your career,
or even your wildest dreams
and ambition.
You were born by His purpose
and for His purpose,
and until you understand that,
life never make sense.

Colossians 1:16b
For everything, absolutely everything,
above and below, visible and invisible,
Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him.

Artist #1

As an artist, if you were given fifteen minutes to speak to your church or the Church at large, what would you say?

What would you say to your friends, your pastor(s), your elder board about art, life, creativity, mission, artistic vocation, cultural influence, or just about any other topic as it relates to our life with God and cultural mandate as Christians, what would you say?

What would you say about...(suggested ideas...you can write whatever you wish!)
Your creative calling?

An artist's role in the Body of Christ?
The role and importance of art in the Church (including church services)?
The need for the Church to embrace the transcendent beauty, truth and goodness of God put forth by the arts?

The calling to be salt and light as artists in this culture?
How art can lead people to a richer experience with God and deeper life?
How artists and pastors can best work together to serve the Church and community?
The missional role of art across cultures?

How you might have experienced hurt or misunderstanding as an artist in the Church and what you've learned in the process?

How God has used this hurt to help you work through forgiveness and deeper dependence on God?

Why we need to raise up a younger generation of artists of faith in the Church?
